On June 2, Permanent Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People’s Committee Y Ngọc chaired a meeting to review preparations for the reception ceremony honoring Team K53 upon completion of its mission of searching for and repatriating fallen soldiers’ remains.

At the meeting, Senior Colonel Trịnh Công Sơn, Deputy Political Commissar of the Provincial Military Command, reported on preparations for welcoming Team K53 back from its mission in Laos and Cambodia.

He noted that plans for the memorial, funeral and burial ceremonies have been carefully prepared to ensure they are conducted with solemnity and respect, reflecting the nation’s profound gratitude to the heroic martyrs who sacrificed their lives for national liberation and fulfilled noble international duties.
The meeting also reviewed plans for the excavation, search and recovery of fallen soldiers’ remains in the Trường Chinh Road area.
Concluding the meeting, Permanent Vice Chairwoman Y Ngọc emphasized that the reception, recovery and burial of martyrs’ remains is a task of profound political and humanitarian significance, demonstrating the gratitude of the Party, the State and the people toward the nation’s heroic martyrs.

She requested assigned agencies and units to continue close coordination, thoroughly review all tasks and ensure adequate preparations for the reception ceremony for Team K53, as well as the memorial, funeral and burial ceremonies for the recovered martyrs’ remains.
At the same time, efforts to excavate, search for and recover additional remains should be implemented effectively and in accordance with regulations.
Y Ngọc also stressed the importance of ensuring that protocol, ceremonial and logistical arrangements are organized in a meticulous, dignified and friendly manner, while maintaining security, public order and traffic safety throughout the scheduled activities.
