On May 14, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Nguyễn Ngọc Sâm, together with representatives of relevant departments, agencies and units, conducted a field inspection of compensation and site clearance work for urban area projects in Măng Đen commune.

Currently, three urban area projects are being implemented in the commune, including Urban Area No.1, Urban Area No.4 and Urban Area No.5, covering a total area of approximately 788.68 hectares with an estimated total investment of about VNĐ 26,466 billion.

For Urban Area Project No.1, authorities have approved land acquisition and the conversion of forest land and forestry land for other purposes in accordance with regulations. Measurement and inventory work has been completed for 204 out of 270 land plots. The People’s Committee of Măng Đen Commune has also approved the task for preparing the project’s 1/500 detailed planning scheme.

For Urban Area Project No.4, measurement work for land areas managed by organizations has been completed, while several privately owned land plots are still under review and verification of land users’ information. The commune has approved the task for preparing the project’s 1/500 detailed planning scheme.

Regarding Urban Area Project No.5, authorities have completed measurement and inventory work for 67 out of 181 land plots. The commune has also approved the task for preparing the project’s 1/500 detailed planning scheme.

After the inspection, Vice Chairman Nguyễn Ngọc Sâm requested investors to urgently complete project dossiers in line with comments from relevant departments, agencies and local authorities for submission to the People’s Committee of Măng Đen Commune for approval of the 1/500 detailed planning schemes.

He also asked investors to proactively coordinate with local authorities in strengthening communication and mobilization efforts among affected households to facilitate inventory, measurement, land origin verification and assessment of land-attached assets.

In addition, local authorities were requested to coordinate with investors in studying plans for residential rearrangement associated with tourism development, thereby creating jobs, increasing incomes and improving living conditions for local residents.
