Provincial leaders inspect Trà Khúc River embankment project

QUẢNG NGÃI- Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Nguyễn Công Hoàng on Tuesday afternoon conducted a site inspection of the embankment and landscape enhancement project along the southern bank of the Trà Khúc River, stretching from Trà Khúc 1 Bridge to Tam Thương Wharf, to review construction progress and address outstanding issues affecting implementation.

During the inspection, the provincial leader was informed that the project, approved in 2023, has a total investment of VNĐ380 billion.

Key components include the construction of a new 1.2-kilometre river embankment and the renovation of Ba Tơ Park, among other urban landscape improvements.

According to the provincial Transport Construction Investment Project Management Board, approximately 97 per cent of the site has been handed over for construction.

As of June 8, the project had reached an estimated 87.4 per cent of its contractual workload, with the figure expected to exceed 90.8 per cent by the end of the second quarter of 2026.

Hoàng urged relevant departments, agencies and local authorities to accelerate compensation, support and site-clearance procedures for the remaining land area in line with the project schedule.

He instructed local authorities to promptly verify land-use origins, determine specific land prices and expedite the appraisal and approval of compensation plans to ensure timely handover of the remaining site to contractors.

The Vice Chairman also called for stronger public communication efforts to build consensus among residents during project implementation.

The investor was requested to direct contractors to mobilise maximum manpower and resources, apply efficient construction methods and ensure that the project meets requirements on progress, quality and urban aesthetics.

Once completed, the project is expected to enhance riverbank protection, improve the urban landscape, provide additional public recreational space and contribute to the sustainable development of VX 88 nhà cái City.
