QUẢNG NGÃI — Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Nguyễn Công Hoàng on Wednesday, May 6 chaired a meeting with relevant agencies and units to review progress and address difficulties in handling legal normative documents affected by the restructuring and streamlining of the administrative apparatus.
Speaking at the meeting, Hoàng stressed that the period from now until June 1, 2026, was very limited while the number of legal documents requiring review and adjustment remained substantial.
He therefore requested departments, sectors and agencies to proactively and synchronously implement assigned tasks in accordance with the roadmap to ensure the timely issuance of new documents or the abolition of outdated ones affected by the organisational restructuring process.
These efforts are aimed at ensuring consistency in the application of regulations across the province, he said.
The Vice Chairman also emphasised that the review and handling of legal normative documents must be conducted carefully and accurately to avoid legal gaps that could affect administrative procedures for residents and businesses or hinder socio-economic development.
Departments and agencies were instructed to comprehensively review all documents under their management, clearly classify those requiring immediate handling and those that could continue to be implemented under existing regulations or pending further guidance from central ministries and sectors.
This would serve as a basis for proactively proposing appropriate timelines for handling each group of documents, he said.
At the same time, agencies were urged to promptly finalise dossiers for resolutions already approved by the Standing Committee of the Provincial People’s Council for inclusion in the law-making programme and submission at specialised sessions, before sending them to the provincial Department of Justice for appraisal in accordance with regulations and required timelines.
According to a report from the provincial Department of Justice, from December 11, 2025, to May 3, 2026, a total of 699 legal normative documents issued by the Provincial People’s Council and the Provincial People’s Committee were reviewed and proposed for handling, including 260 resolutions, 431 decisions and eight directives.
Of these, 281 documents have already been handled, comprising 120 resolutions, 154 decisions and seven directives.
Apart from documents proposed to remain unchanged or continue to be implemented, the total number of documents still requiring handling stands at 352.
In April 2026 alone, authorities registered 110 documents for handling, including 39 resolutions and 71 decisions, of which 51 have already been processed.
