On June 4, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Nguyễn Ngọc Sâm chaired a meeting with relevant departments, agencies and stakeholders to review and accelerate the implementation of urban development projects in Măng Đen Commune.

Reportedly, Urban Areas No. 1, No. 4 and No. 5 are being developed in Măng Đen Commune, covering a total area of approximately 788.68 hectares with a combined investment of around VNĐ 26.47 trillion.

Urban Area No. 1 covers 264.4 hectares and includes 328 land plots. To date, the investor has completed procedures related to the conversion of forest land and forestry land use purposes, including approval of the replacement afforestation payment dossier by competent authorities.

Land surveying and asset inventory work has been completed for all 328 land plots, covering approximately 185.9 hectares. The investor has provided the Compensation Council with measurement verification documents for 170 plots.

Regarding land origin verification, the Compensation Council has completed inventory dossiers for 50 households and individuals, involving 68 land plots and submitted them to the relevant authorities for verification, serving as the basis for subsequent procedures.

For the 1/500 detailed planning scheme, the People’s Committee of Măng Đen Commune has approved the planning assignment and completed community consultations for Urban Area No. 1. The locality is currently carrying out the remaining procedures to finalize the planning dossier in accordance with regulations.

Concluding the meeting, Vice Chairman Nguyễn Ngọc Sâm requested the Department of Agriculture and Environment to consolidate existing difficulties and obstacles and advise the PPC on recommendations to the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment for consideration and resolution. The Department of Finance was assigned to coordinate and advise on issues related to project funding.

The Vice Chairman also urged the People’s Committee of Măng Đen Commune to promptly submit written requests to the Department of Agriculture and Environment for guidance on unresolved issues related to compensation and site clearance. Priority should be given to verifying land origins and determining specific land prices as a basis for publicly disclosing compensation plans in accordance with regulations.

Regarding coordination with Cần Thơ University, the commune was requested to proactively work with relevant parties to address difficulties faced by businesses and investors during project implementation.

Investors were directed to expedite the preparation and completion of the 1/500 detailed planning dossiers to facilitate land allocation and ensure project implementation on schedule.

For forest-related procedures, investors were asked to promptly complete dossiers for the conversion of forest land use purposes and submit them to the Department of Agriculture and Environment for appraisal and further submission to competent authorities for consideration in accordance with regulations.
