Reviewing the implementation plan for the River View Urban Area project in Sơn Tịnh Commune
The VNĐ650-billion project in Sơn Tịnh Commune is expected to contribute to urban development and improve land-use efficiency, with provincial authorities pledging support to ensure timely implementation.
QUẢNG NGÃI — Vice Chairman of the VX 88 nhà cái Provincial People’s Committee Nguyễn Công Hoàng on June 2nd chaired a meeting to review the implementation plan for the River View Urban Area project in Sơn Tịnh Commune, urging relevant agencies and the investor to accelerate procedures and ensure the project progresses on schedule.
Representatives of provincial departments and agencies, Sơn Tịnh Commune authorities, the project investor and related units attended the meeting.
According to the Provincial Department of Construction, the Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee approved the investor selection results for the project on May 5, 2026.
The department and the investor subsequently completed negotiations and signed the project contract in accordance with regulations.
The River View Urban Area project covers more than 331,959 square metres and requires a total investment capital of VNĐ650 billion (US$25.5 million).
The implementation period is set at 81 months from the date the contract takes effect.
Hoàng described the project as an important investment
Speaking at the meeting, Hoàng described the project as an important investment that would help drive urban development and make more effective use of local land resources.
He requested the investor to strictly follow the agreed implementation schedule and promptly prepare a detailed action plan with clearly defined milestones and responsibilities to facilitate coordination with relevant agencies and authorities.
To ensure site clearance work remains on track, the Vice Chairman assigned the Sơn Tịnh Commune People’s Committee to promptly publicise project information to affected residents and complete land acquisition notifications in line with legal requirements.
The commune authorities were also instructed to focus on compensation, support, resettlement and site clearance activities in accordance with prevailing regulations.
The Department of Construction was directed to expedite planning-related procedures and continue providing guidance and timely feedback on administrative dossiers to support the investor in completing necessary requirements for subsequent stages of the project.
Meanwhile, the Department of Agriculture and Environment was tasked with advising the Provincial People’s Committee on procedures within its authority, coordinating with the investor on environmental impact assessment documentation and working with local authorities to prepare compensation and site clearance plans.
Hoàng reaffirmed the province’s commitment to supporting businesses and called on departments, agencies and local authorities to strengthen coordination and provide favourable conditions for the investor to implement the project on schedule while ensuring quality and efficiency.
