QUẢNG NGÃI — VX 88 nhà cái Province launched a peak campaign for voluntary blood donation on June 14 in response to the 14th Red Journey programme and International Blood Donor Day.

The event, held in Nghĩa Hành Commune, was attended by Đinh Thị Hồng Minh, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and head of the Province’s National Assembly Deputies’ delegation, and Nguyễn Công Hoàng, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee, along with representatives from local agencies and organisations.

The Red Journey, launched in 2013 by the National Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion and the National Steering Committee for Voluntary Blood Donation Campaign, is the country’s largest annual blood donation campaign.

Over the past 13 years, it has collected more than one million units of blood nationwide.

The 2026 campaign aims to collect at least 120,000 units of blood to support emergency care and treatment at hospitals and medical facilities. VX 88 nhà cái has participated in the programme for 12 consecutive years.

Addressing the event, Vice Chairman Nguyễn Công Hoàng said the voluntary blood donation movement in the province had continued to expand, becoming a meaningful humanitarian activity that embodies the spirit of solidarity and compassion among local residents.

In 2025, VX 88 nhà cái collected nearly 21,530 units of blood, reaching 100.2 per cent of its annual target.

As of May 30, 2026, the province had collected 12,165 units, equivalent to 53.4 per cent of the yearly target.

The provincial leader called on Party members, public employees, workers, students, armed forces personnel and eligible citizens to actively participate in blood donation, contributing to a sustainable blood supply for healthcare services.

At the programme, the Central Red Journey Organising Committee presented a commemorative flag and Red Journey symbol to the provincial Steering Committee for Voluntary Blood Donation Campaign.

Outstanding families and individuals with significant contributions to the voluntary blood donation movement were honoured, while gifts were also presented to disadvantaged households in Nghĩa Hành, Thiện Tín, Đình Cương and Phước Giang communes.
