The delegation from VSB – Technical University of Ostrava includedAssociate Professor Dr. Marek Pagac, Vice Rector; Dr. Jiri Hajnys, Head of the 3D Printing Laboratory under the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering; and Mã Quốc Phú, a doctoral candidate at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering.

Representing Phạm Văn Đồng University were members of the Board of Rectors, leaders of faculties and units, lecturers, and 30 students from the Faculty of Engineering and Technology.

During the working session, representatives from VSB – Technical University of Ostrava delivered a presentation on 3D printing technology, focusing on FDM (Fused Deposition Modeling) and current additive manufacturing technologies. The presentation introduced the process of converting digital 3D models into physical products through layer-by-layer printing methods.
The delegation also introduced seven common categories of 3D printing technologies based on ISO/ASTM standards, including Vat Photopolymerization, Material Extrusion, Material Jetting, Binder Jetting, Powder Bed Fusion, Directed Energy Deposition, and Sheet Lamination.
In addition, the working session highlighted various materials used in 3D printing such as polymers, metal alloys, ceramics, glass, and biomaterials, along with practical applications in industry, healthcare, design, and education.
Presentations on STL modeling, slicing techniques, and G-code programming provided participants with a clearer understanding of the operation of modern 3D printers.
Advanced topics such as metal printing using FDM technology and specialized filament materials also attracted significant interest from lecturers and students.
After the working session, the delegation visited the practice and laboratory area of the Faculty of Engineering and Technology at Phạm Văn Đồng University
