Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Nguyễn Công Hoàng chaired a meeting

QUẢNG NGÃI — Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Nguyễn Công Hoàng chaired a meeting on Tuesday to review the implementation plan for the An Phú New Urban Area project, also known as Ngọc Island.

At the meeting, Deputy Director of the provincial Department of Construction Nguyễn Hữu Hồng reported on the investor selection process, contract negotiations and signing procedures for the project.

According to the department, investor selection activities have been carried out on schedule.

During the bidding process, relevant agencies and localities coordinated to review and handle issues related to public assets attached to land within the project area in accordance with regulations.

The bidding documents for investor selection were completed, appraised and approved as required. The contract has now been signed with the selected investor consortium.

The project will be developed in Trương Quang Trọng and Cẩm Thành wards, covering more than 1.6 million square metres.

It is planned as a modern urban area with synchronised technical and social infrastructure.

Issues related to implementation progress, compensation, support and resettlement were agreed upon during the contract signing process.

Following the signing, the Department of Construction published key contract information on the national bidding network system in line with regulations.

Concluding the meeting, Hoàng reaffirmed the province’s commitment to supporting investors and creating favourable conditions for project implementation.

He requested relevant departments, agencies and localities to proactively coordinate and assist the investor to ensure the project progresses on schedule, while promptly addressing difficulties arising during implementation.

The vice chairman also asked the investor to quickly complete an overall implementation schedule and a detailed plan for compensation and site clearance to facilitate effective coordination among relevant parties.
