Vice Chairman of the VX 88 nhà cái Provincial People’s Committee Nguyễn Công Hoàng inspects key transport infrastructure projects

QUẢNG NGÃI — Vice Chairman of the VX 88 nhà cái Provincial People’s Committee Nguyễn Công Hoàng on June 12 inspected the implementation of the Thạch Bích Bridge–Tịnh Phong road project and the Dung Quất–Sa Huỳnh coastal road project, urging relevant agencies to accelerate site clearance and construction progress.

According to project investors, the Thạch Bích Bridge–Tịnh Phong road project has handed over 4.17 kilometres out of its total 6.11 kilometres of construction site, reaching 68.2 per cent.

The project has completed work worth VNĐ218 billion, equivalent to 53.3 per cent of the contract value.

However, difficulties remain in compensation, support and resettlement procedures, with 78 households involving 86 land plots yet to complete compensation plans.

For the Dung Quất–Sa Huỳnh coastal road project’s Phase IIa, Component 1, which has a total length of over 13.28 kilometres and an investment of VNĐ1.199 trillion, construction value has reached nearly 89.8 per cent of the contract.

Asphalt paving has been completed on 11.4 kilometres, accounting for 85 per cent of the route length.

Meanwhile, Phase IIb of the project, with a total investment of VNĐ900 billion and a length of more than 16 kilometres, has achieved approximately 79.2 per cent of the contract value.

The project has disbursed more than VNĐ26.5 billion of its 2026 capital allocation, exceeding the provincial disbursement schedule by more than VNĐ7 billion.

The investors said the main obstacles facing the projects were related to land acquisition and site clearance, as some households had yet to agree to receive compensation under approved plans.

Contractors were required to accelerate construction

During the inspection, Hoàng requested project investors to closely coordinate with the Land Fund Development Centre, relevant departments and local authorities to resolve outstanding issues and speed up site handover.

He also urged contractors to mobilise sufficient workforce and equipment to accelerate construction while ensuring quality and complying with the approved schedule.
