The meeting was attended by Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Hồ Văn Niên, delegates of the Provincial People’s Council’s Group No.1 and ward-level delegates.
Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Đỗ Tâm Hiển and leaders of provincial departments and sectors also attended the event.
At the meeting, voters urged authorities to take appropriate measures to deal with delayed and abandoned projects to avoid waste of resources and limit the emergence of social problems.
They also called for the early settlement of difficulties related to land and planning issues, and requested authorities to thoroughly address prolonged “suspended planning” projects that have affected residents’ lives and legitimate rights in project areas.
Voters proposed further investment in and completion of public lighting systems in residential areas, while also calling for continued administrative reform in the land sector to shorten processing times and create more favourable conditions for residents.
They also suggested the construction of playgrounds and cultural and sports facilities in residential areas.
In addition, voters expressed hope that projects already approved for investment would soon begin construction.
They also called for greater attention to professional training for communications staff at communes, wards and special administrative zones, as well as stronger environmental management and pollution treatment in residential areas to help build greener and cleaner urban areas.
