Standing Vice Chairwoman Y Ngọc meets voter in Đăk Plô and Đăk Pék Communes

On May 13, Standing Vice Chairwoman Y Ngọc, together with Delegation No. 12, met voters in Đăk Plô and Đăk Pék communes ahead of the mid-year regular session of the 2026 Provincial People’s Council.

Standing Vice Chairwoman Y Ngọc met voters in Đăk Plô Commune

At the meetings, delegates provided updates on the province’s and localities’ socio-economic performance in the first four months of 2026, the expected agenda and program of the upcoming mid-year People’s Council sessions at all levels, and the status of responses to voters’ previous recommendations.

In Đăk Plô Commune, voters proposed repairing and upgrading damaged roads; restoring deteriorated village communal houses; maintaining and upgrading irrigation works and canal systems; repairing access roads to production areas; ensuring the timely payment of forest protection contracts to local households; providing support for farmers affected by crop losses caused by Typhoon No. 13; repairing low-voltage three-phase power lines and relocating unused electricity poles near residential areas; and paying greaterattention to social welfare policies for the elderly.

Voters raise issues

In Đăk Pék Commune, voters reported that the suspension bridge serving residents in a resettlement area has deteriorated and no longer ensures safe travel, particularly during the rainy and flood seasons. They therefore requested investment in a permanent reinforced concrete bridge. Voters also noted that the current bridge across the Pô Kô River remains temporary and called for the early construction of a more durable structure to meet local travel needs.

Voters further raised concerns over frequent overloaded trucks traveling on National Highway 14A, posing risks to traffic safety, and requested strengthened patrols, inspections, and strict enforcement against violations. They also proposed studying the construction of a bypass route around the former Đăk Glei town to ensure traffic safety.

Additional recommendations included increasing staffing for the Fatherland Front and mass organizations at the grassroots level to meet operational requirements, as well as ensuring the timely payment of entitlements and policies for semi-contracted commune and village officials.

Concluding the sessions, Standing Vice Chairwoman Y Ngọc acknowledged and highly appreciated the responsible and constructive feedback from voters, and expressed understanding of the difficulties faced by local residents.

She requested relevant departments, sectors, and local authorities to promptly review and resolve issues within their jurisdiction, while synthesizing and reporting matters beyond their authority to competent agencies for consideration and resolution in accordance with regulations.
