On May 22, Vice Chairman Đỗ Tâm Hiển conducted a field inspection of under-canopy linkage models for the development of Ngọc Linh Ginseng in Tu Mơ Rông and Măng Ri communes.

Currently, the total area of Ngọc Linh Ginseng in the province is approximately 3,200 hectares, concentrated mainly in Măng Ri Commune.
After on-site inspections of Ngọc Linh Ginseng cultivation models in Tu Mơ Rông and Măng Ri communes, as well as the Ngọc Linh Ginseng garden operated by Kon Tum Ngọc Linh Ginseng Joint Stock Company, the Vice Chairman requested the Department of Agriculture and Environment to coordinate with relevant sectors, forest management units, and local authorities to urgently develop a specific set of standards for Ngọc Linh Ginseng. The standards will serve as a basis for handling violations and protecting the Ngọc Linh Ginseng brand.

The Vice Chairman also directed relevant agencies to accelerate investigations, surveys, forest measurements, and inventories, while standardizing digital data to support forest planning associated with medicinal herb development.
He requested the completion of plans for forest exploitation, utilization, and development by June 2026.
At the same time, authorities were asked to strengthen inspection activities, issue planting area codes, and develop geographical indications integrated with digital infrastructure to improve management efficiency and product traceability.
Local authorities were urged to intensify communication and awareness campaigns to encourage people to comply with regulations on the cultivation, care, and development of Ngọc Linh Ginseng, while enhancing awareness of forest protection linked to sustainable medicinal herb development.

Kon Tum Ngọc Linh Ginseng Joint Stock Company was encouraged to continue accompanying local authorities and residents in developing medicinal herb-growing areas, with the goal of turning Măng Ri Commune into a key medicinal herb region of the province by 2030 and a nationally significant medicinal herb region by 2035.
