On June 5, at Măng Đen Commune, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Đỗ Tâm Hiển attended and delivered remarks at the tree-planting campaign launched in response to World Environment Day 2026, under the theme: “Every Tree – A New Life, Every Action – A Greener Future.”

Speaking at the event, Vice Chairman Đỗ Tâm Hiển emphasized that World Environment Day (June 5) is an important international occasion aimed at raising awareness and encouraging global action to protect the environment and promote sustainable development.

He noted that in recent years, the province has implemented various initiatives to protect the environment, restore forests, develop green urban areas and promote eco-friendly rural development. Tree-planting and afforestation movements have received strong support from government agencies, organizations, businesses, schools and local communities.
Vice Chairman Đỗ Tâm Hiển called on officials, Party members, armed forces personnel, youth union members, students, businesses and residents to actively participate in planting, caring for and protecting trees; safeguarding forests, water resources and biodiversity; reducing plastic waste; adopting environmentally friendly lifestyles; and promoting green living, green consumption and green development.
After the launch ceremony, provincial leaders, delegates, youth volunteers and local residents joined a tree-planting activity along Trần Nhân Tông Street in Măng Đen Commune.

The activity aimed to strengthen public awareness and responsibility for environmental protection, climate change adaptation, the creation of green, clean and beautiful landscapes, and sustainable development throughout the province.
The program is expected to further expand the tree-planting and environmental protection movement, contributing to the effective integration of economic development with environmental conservation and improving the quality of life for local residents.
