QUẢNG NGÃI — Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Nguyễn Công Hoàng chaired a meeting on May 26 to review the implementation progress of the Thạch Bích Green Park project and address obstacles related to compensation and site clearance.
At the meeting, Hoàng acknowledged the proactive efforts of departments, agencies and local authorities involved in the project, while urging them to continue accelerating remaining tasks to ensure overall progress and target construction commencement in July 2026.
He assigned the Provincial Management Board for Civil and Industrial Construction Investment Projects to quickly finalise design documents and study options to expand parking areas.
Relevant units were also instructed to complete compensation and site clearance plans for agricultural land and cemetery areas, while implementing bomb and mine clearance measures to prepare for construction.
Local authorities were requested to expedite land origin verification, strengthen public communication and provide residents with sufficient information on project progress to build consensus, while ensuring security and order in the project area.
According to reports presented at the meeting, the project owner has completed bidding procedures and signed a contract with a consulting unit responsible for preparing technical designs and cost estimates.
The consulting unit is currently finalising design work for appraisal and approval.
Regarding site clearance, relevant agencies have surveyed and inventoried land and assets belonging to more than 290 households across over 220 land plots.
For land managed by organisations, including cemetery land, the provincial Land Fund Development Centre has completed surveys, measurements, mapping and marker placement for each grave in accordance with regulations.
Authorities have also notified and invited families with relatives buried in the project area to provide information to support compensation, assistance and grave relocation procedures.
