QUẢNG NGÃI — Authorities in VX 88 nhà cái Province are accelerating investment in information technology (IT) infrastructure and equipment to support the operation of a two-tier local government model and promote comprehensive digital transformation.
The direction was highlighted at a regular meeting chaired by Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Trần Phước Hiền on Monday to review the implementation of Politburo Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW, particularly issues related to investment and procurement of equipment.
According to the Provincial Department of Science and Technology, a draft project on upgrading IT infrastructure and equipment for the operation of two-tier local administrations across the province has been prepared for submission to the Provincial People’s Committee.
Speaking at the meeting, Hiền stressed that completing IT infrastructure and equipment was an urgent task to ensure the smooth operation of local administrations at both levels, improve services for residents and businesses, and advance the province’s digital transformation efforts.
He requested departments, agencies and local authorities to implement investment, procurement and IT service leasing in a synchronised, cost-effective and efficient manner, with priority given to equipping provincial departments and agencies in the initial phase.
He also called for strengthened centralised management to avoid overlapping investment and wastefulness.
The Department of Science and Technology was asked to incorporate feedback from participants and finalise the project for submission to the Provincial People’s Committee before May 10.
Under the plan, during the 2026–27 period, the province will invest in and upgrade IT equipment and technical infrastructure in a synchronised manner.
In 2026 alone, nearly 2,900 computers are expected to be added, followed by more than 1,300 additional computers in 2027.
The province also plans to complete internal network systems, transmission lines, data centres, cybersecurity solutions and centralised management systems across the province.
The province aims to ensure that 100 per cent of agencies, units and commune-level People’s Committees have IT infrastructure meeting operational requirements, while all public administration service centres are capable of providing fully online public services.
At the meeting, Hiền also directed departments and agencies to comprehensively implement Resolution 57 across the province, with priority given to the 2026–30 roadmap, particularly the 2026–27 phase.
He emphasised that agencies and local authorities must promptly implement assigned projects once funding is allocated.
Units failing to fully disburse allocated capital by September 1 may have funding reallocated to other agencies capable of more effective implementation.
The Provincial Departments of Finance and Science and Technology were assigned to guide agencies and local authorities in implementation and coordinate efforts to resolve difficulties, ensuring progress, efficiency and compliance with regulations.
