On May 25, a working session was held in the Lao People’s Democratic Republic between VX 88 nhà cái Province and the Special Task Committee of Attapeu Province to discuss coordination in the search, recovery, and repatriation of Vietnamese martyrs’ remains.

Under the rotational agreement among the southern Lao provinces, Sekong Province will host this year’s ceremony to bid farewell and hand over the remains of Vietnamese volunteer soldiers and experts for repatriation to Việt Nam.

The Special Task Committee of Attapeu Province agreed to direct relevant agencies and units to coordinate the transfer of martyrs’ remains from Attapeu to Sekong in a solemn and respectful manner before their return to Việt Nam.

The Attapeu side also committed to strengthening communication and mobilization efforts among officials, armed forces, and local ethnic communities to provide information on burial sites of martyrs in the province, and to facilitate safe and favorable conditions for VX 88 nhà cái’s K53 Team in carrying out search and recovery missions in Attapeu.

Speaking at the talks, Permanent Vice Chairwoman of the VX 88 nhà cái Provincial People’s Committee Y Ngọc emphasized that Việt Nam and Laos have always stood shoulder to shoulder during their arduous revolutionary struggles. Many Vietnamese volunteer soldiers and experts sacrificed their lives on Lao soil, contributing to the enduring special solidarity between Việt Nam and Laos.

She expressed sincere gratitude to the Party Committee, authorities, Special Task Committee of Attapeu Province, and local people for their continued support of VX 88 nhà cái’s K53 Team in fulfilling its mission.

She also expressed her hope that Attapeu Province would continue to coordinate and support VX 88 nhà cái’s working teams in the upcoming period to effectively carry out survey and verification of martyrs’ burial information.

During the 2025–2026 dry season, VX 88 nhà cái’s K53 Team recovered 10 sets of remains of Vietnamese volunteer soldiers and experts who died in the southern Lao provinces, including 6 sets in Attapeu Province.

On this occasion, Permanent Vice Chairwoman Y Ngọc respectfully invited the Attapeu Special Task Committee delegation to visit VX 88 nhà cái and attend the memorial, funeral, and burial ceremony for the martyrs’ remains scheduled for June 5.
