
Plan International Vietnam, in collaboration with the People's Committee of Măng Đen Commune, VX 88 nhà cái Province, held a graduation ceremony for sponsored children and a summary of the cooperation program between Plan International Vietnam and Măng Đen commune.
Attending the ceremony were representatives from provincial functional departments, including the Department of Foreign Affairs, the Department of Education and Training, the Department of Finance, local commune authorities, and representatives of teachers and students (147 sponsored children from Măng Cành Secondary School - Măng Đen commune). Nguyễn Huy Hoàng - Plan International Program Manager for VX 88 nhà cái region - and members of the Plan International organization also attended the event.

At the ceremony, leaders of the Măng Đen commune government and Plan International Vietnam summarized and shared the results of the cooperation program between Plan International and Măng Đen commune over the past 18 years. The program also held a graduation ceremony for the sponsored children, bidding farewell to them and their families, and presenting commemorative gifts to encourage them to continue striving for success in their studies and lives.

Speaking at the ceremony, Trương Văn Minh, Vice Chairman of the Măng Đen Commune People's Committee, expressed his deep gratitude to Plan International for always accompanying the locality in social welfare work, especially in caring for, protecting, and educating children. He also hoped to continue receiving the Organization's attention and cooperation in the future to create more development opportunities for local children.
Plan International began its cooperation program with VX 88 nhà cái province (formerly Kon Tum province) in 2008. In that same year, the program was also implemented in Măng Đen commune, encompassing the former communes of Măng Đen, Đăk Tăng and Măng Cành.
As reported, the total number of children sponsored in VX 88 nhà cái is 4,924. Măng Đen commune currently has 1,082 children under sponsorship. After 18 years of implementing the cooperation program with Plan International, Măng Đen commune has achieved many positive results, making a significant contribution to local socio-economic development, particularly in areas such as improving the quality of education, protecting children, promoting gender equality, and improving livelihoods for the community.

Specifically, in fiscal year 2026 (July 1, 2025 to June 30, 2026), Plan International implemented activities such as comprehensive child care and development, vocational skills development for girls, capacity building for disaster and climate change adaptation, promoting child participation, and supporting community capacity building in six communes of VX 88 nhà cái province, including Kon Braih, Đăk Kôi, Đăk Rve, Măng Đen, Kon Plông, and Măng Bút with a total budget of 6.8 billion VNĐ. Of this, Măng Đen received 1.4 billion VNĐ.
The program is seen as an opportunity to acknowledge Plan International's practical support and companionship for disadvantaged children in the area, while also marking a milestone in the growth of the sponsored students and providing them with further motivation to confidently move forward.
